How much does a website cost?
It depends on the job, so we won't pretend there's a single number. What we will do is give you one fixed figure before anything starts, with what it includes and what it doesn't. If your existing site only needs a handful of things fixed, that's usually the cheapest option and we'll say so.
Do you host the websites you build?
Yes. Managed hosting starts at £8 a month, or the Care plan at £24 a month adds updates, security patches, small monthly edits and priority fixes. Hosting is billed monthly with no tie-in — and because the domain and hosting are in your name, you can move away whenever you like.
What exactly do I get with hosting?
Fast managed hosting on EU servers, an SSL certificate, daily backups kept for 30 days, uptime monitoring, and applied updates and security patches. On the Care plan you also get small text or photo edits each month and same-day fixes when something breaks.
How long does it take?
Fixes to an existing site are usually days. A new small-business website is typically a couple of weeks from the point we have everything we need from you. Apps are longer, and the timeline is set out in the quote.
Who owns the website afterwards?
You do. The domain and hosting are registered in your name and you get the logins. Plenty of businesses get stuck because their developer owns all of it — we'd rather you never had that problem.
Do you only work in Glasgow?
No — we're based in Glasgow and work with businesses anywhere in the UK, entirely remotely. Working remotely makes that easy: nothing depends on being able to meet up.
