Privacy policy

This is a plain-English summary of what we do with information you send us. Appsology UK Ltd is the data controller. If anything here isn't clear, email [email protected] and we'll explain it.

What we collect

• What you type into the form on this site or send us by email: your name, business name, email address, optionally a WhatsApp number, your website address and your message.
• Basic anonymous website statistics — which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from — collected through Google Analytics.

Why we hold it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare the review you asked for, and to quote for and deliver any work you go on to commission. That's it. We don't use your details for marketing lists, we don't sell them, and we don't pass them to anyone else except the service providers below.

Who else sees it

• Our email provider and our web host, who store the messages and run the site.
• Formspree — the form service that delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
• Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides the Turnstile check that keeps spam out of the form. Cloudflare sees your IP address and browser details as part of that check.
• Google Analytics, which records anonymous visit statistics.

Where any of these operate outside the UK, transfers rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

This site doesn't set advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits and tell us which pages are used; the data is aggregated and we can't identify you from it. You can block cookies in your browser settings and everything on this site will still work.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted after 12 months. If you become a client, we keep the records we need for as long as we're working together and for the period our accountant and HMRC require afterwards — currently six years for financial records.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll deal with it — usually within a few working days, and always within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfect, so please don't send us passwords or card details by email or through the form.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be mentioned by email.
